uPVC Awning Windows Explained
An awning window hinges at the top and pushes out at the bottom, so the open sash forms a small roof over the gap. Rain runs off the glass and away from the opening, which means you can keep ventilating a room while it is pouring outside.
That makes awnings the natural choice above kitchen counters, over bathroom sinks, in stairwell walls and as a high-level opening above a fixed picture window. They also work well in utility areas where you want permanent airflow without a security risk.
Because the sash is wider than it is tall, awnings suit horizontal openings that would look wrong as a casement. We fit them with friction stays that hold any position, and they can be combined with fixed glass below in a single coupled frame.

What We Actually Fabricate
Four Reasons This Frame Outlasts Wood and Aluminium
Durability
Steel-reinforced multi-chambered profiles hold shape for 40 to 60 years without warping, rusting or rotting.
Weather Resistance
EPDM gaskets and drainage channels seal against monsoon rain, coastal salt air and summer heat.
Low Maintenance
No sanding, no repainting. A wipe with soapy water twice a year keeps the frame looking new.
Soundproofing
Double-glazed options cut outside noise by up to 50% — worth it on any road-facing room.

What customers ask us on site about this window type, answered without sales talk.
Call +91 70947 02370What is a uPVC awning window used for?
Any opening that needs ventilation in wet weather or at high level — above a kitchen counter, over a bathroom sink, in a stairwell, or as a vent above a fixed picture window. The sash acts as a canopy so rain runs off instead of in.
Can awning windows be left open in the rain?
Yes, that is the point of the type. The outward-opening top-hinged sash sheds water away from the gap. In very driving rain at an exposed corner we would still suggest closing it.
Is an awning window secure?
The friction stays limit how far the sash travels and the lock engages the frame, so a partly open awning is far harder to force than a partly open slider. For ground-floor rooms we fit multi-point locking.
Can I have obscured glass in an awning window?
Yes — obscured or frosted glass is the usual specification for bathroom awnings, and it costs little more than plain 5mm float.
