uPVC Bay Windows Explained
A bay window steps out from the wall in three sections, typically a wide fixed or casement pane in the centre with two angled side panes. The projection adds usable depth to the room, pulls in light from three directions, and gives you a sill deep enough to sit on.
We fabricate bays as coupled uPVC units with reinforced corner posts, so the assembly carries its own weight across the projection. The side panes can be casement or fixed; most customers open the sides and keep the centre fixed for the clearest view.
A bay changes the elevation of a house as much as the room inside it, so we draw it to scale before fabrication and agree the projection depth and the angle — usually 30 or 45 degrees — with you on site.

What We Actually Fabricate
Four Reasons This Frame Outlasts Wood and Aluminium
Durability
Steel-reinforced multi-chambered profiles hold shape for 40 to 60 years without warping, rusting or rotting.
Weather Resistance
EPDM gaskets and drainage channels seal against monsoon rain, coastal salt air and summer heat.
Low Maintenance
No sanding, no repainting. A wipe with soapy water twice a year keeps the frame looking new.
Soundproofing
Double-glazed options cut outside noise by up to 50% — worth it on any road-facing room.

What customers ask us on site about this window type, answered without sales talk.
Call +91 70947 02370Does a uPVC bay window need extra structural support?
The uPVC assembly carries its own weight through reinforced coupling posts, but the projection needs a supported sill or a small corbel below. We check the masonry on site and specify what is needed before fabrication.
How much does a uPVC bay window cost?
A bay is quoted as a coupled unit, so it costs more per square foot than a flat window of the same glass area — the corner posts, the angled cuts and the fitting all take longer. We price it from the site drawing.
Can I have a bay window in a bedroom?
Yes, and it is a popular upgrade — the deep sill makes a seat or a plant shelf. In a bedroom we usually make the side panes openable and the centre fixed.
What is the difference between a bay and a bow window?
A bay has three sections with sharp angles; a bow has four or more panes forming a gentle curve. A bay projects further for the same width, a bow looks softer on the elevation.
