Why Nobody Publishes a Rate Card
Ask five suppliers what a uPVC window costs and you will get five numbers that cannot be compared, because none of them are quoting the same window. Profile depth, reinforcement, glass thickness, hardware grade and opening type all move the price, and any of them can be quietly downgraded to win a quote.
We quote per square foot after measuring, with the specification written next to the number. That is the only way you can compare our price with anyone else's and know what you are comparing.
What Actually Drives the Price
In rough order of impact: the opening type, the glass, the hardware, and the finish. A 2-track sliding window with 5mm plain glass is the cheapest useful window we make. The same opening as a tilt and turn with a 5+12+5 double-glazed unit can be more than double, because the gearing and the sealed unit both cost real money.
Woodgrain laminate adds a modest amount over white. Toughened glass adds a little; laminated and insulated units add more. Multi-point locking adds more than most people expect, and it is worth it on ground-floor rooms.
Where People Overspend
The commonest waste we see is double glazing specified across a whole house. A courtyard-facing kitchen and an internal bathroom get no measurable benefit from a sealed unit, and the money would be better spent on multi-point locking downstairs or a better glass on the west wall.
The second commonest is oversized sliders — a 4-track where a 3-track would open enough, which adds profile, rollers and glass weight for an opening nobody uses fully.
Where People Underspend
Skimping on the road-facing bedroom. If one room in the house justifies a double-glazed casement or tilt and turn, it is the bedroom facing the bus route — and that is the room people most often leave as a plain slider to save a few thousand rupees.
The other false economy is unreinforced profile on a large door leaf. It looks identical on the day it is fitted and sags within a couple of years.
